4th graders took a field trip to our nearby gem, Lynden Sculpture Garden. Art was used interactively to explore the beauty and science of plants survival techniques. The docent told our students of the philanthropists who once lived on the land. They also enjoyed creating —outdoors, using materials in nature, and in the studio. They explored large outdoor art pieces such as the surprising “Hara” the horse, by Deborah Butterfield. The trip culminated with lunch outdoors on the beautiful picnic grounds. Wonderful Day!
