No School - Wednesday, January 30
Superintendents have been working together with the National Weather Service monitor the predicted frigid temperatures. After our latest update, we have made the decision to close schools on Wednesday, January 30th. We will continue monitoring the weather for cold as they are predicting potential closure temperatures to fall on Thursday, as well. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate our Wisconsin winters!
No School Tomorrow - Monday, January 28th

No School Today (January 23rd)
Due to inclement weather, the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District will be closed today, Wednesday, January 23rd. School will resume on Thursday.

Clothing Request!
We are seeking girls leggings size 5-6x for the office. If you have some that your child has outgrown or if you pick up some next time you are out, your donation would be much appreciated!

Garden News
Students are enjoying the “Dragon Patch” garden, even in the wintertime! Students compost their snacks and bring their composting to the garden daily. Keep an eye out for our spring “Garden Clean Up” volunteer opportunity, coming soon!

Reading Celebration
Mrs. Maca’s class demonstrated their increasing reading stamina by reading to Mrs. Gersonde's students. They were cozied up to read in front of a mock “crackling fire!”

Distinguished Dragons
Our Distinguished Dragons this month were recognized for their 'patience,' this month's theme. They enjoyed a “fancy” meal from McDonald’s with Mrs. Witkov. Way to go! Students Lily T., Lily S., Amberly, Ian, Brooks, Mia, DJ, and Symeon.

Winter Break Reading Challenge Results
The results of the Winter Break Reading Challenge are in, showing that a total of 72 students in grades 5K/SK-2nd submitted reading logs to Mrs. Widmann. That means that more than half of the eligible IH students earned a slice of Rocky's pizza and a Milwaukee Wave bookmark! Mrs. Gersonde’s class deserves special recognition because 75% of her students took part in the wintertime reading activities. Spaghetti Dinner & Kids Heart Challenge
Mark February 4 on your calendar and save the date for the Spaghetti Dinner and Obstacle Course. According to the American Heart Association, February is Heart Health Month. On Monday, February 4, students will have an opportunity to participate in a glow-in-the-dark obstacle course and win prizes, all while supporting the American Heart Association. The obstacle course will coincide with the PTO's Spaghetti Dinner. Admission to the obstacle course will be $5 per person, with
