Conferences will be held at both schools on October 25th and 26th. It is a time for parents to share with teachers what they feel is important about their child and also to discuss ways to help their child be successful. Grades k-4 will sign-up for their individual teacher. Grades 5-8, will not have specific reserved times. Instead, we ask that you sign up to attend your child’s conferences in a time slot. The Maple Dale Cross Country team competed in the North Shore Conference at Kern Park on October 10, 2018. Matthew H. finished 4th overall for the 5/6th grade boys race. Grace G. led the 7/8th grade girls with a 20th place run. Finally, Isaac R. and Aidan B. earned spots on the North Shore Conference All-Conference team with 10th place and 8th place finishes. Great job everyone!

Students participated in engaging and interactive sessions with the North Shore Firefighters on Monday as part of our Fire Safety Week. Students asked questions about fighting fires, saw firefighters get their gear on, and visited the “Survive Alive” house outside. Students learned about fire safety and how to respond in the case of an emergency.
